Right now, at 4:30 p.m. on September 2, 2009, it is 80 degrees. In Memphis. What's wrong with this picture? Well, actually, NOTHING! In an area of the country where summer temperatures last until October, having an early autumn is loverly. I haven't yet been able to convince Sound Man to turn the air off and open the windows at night, but we're getting there.
With the temps so uncharacteristically low, it puts me SO in the mood for fall. In the past couple of years I have realized that fall was my favorite season (not to be confused with Christmas, which is my favorite holiday...oh yeah...been thinkin' about it since, oh, February).
Here's what I love about fall...
I love the colors...
I love the food...
I love the sky...
I love the food...
I love the decorations...
I love the food...oh, did I say that already?
And the thing that warms my heart the most about fall? I guess it has to be this...Keeping the Swine Flu at bay.
Happy Fall, Y'all!See what other Blissfully Domestic divas are saying!

My neighbor is making Taco Soup tonight. Yum!! I'm not quite there yet, though. I did look at some of my fall decor and wondered when it would be appropriate to bring it out. And your poor Kiddo. Looks like he is entering your world of OCD Germophobe. It is an illness. The OCD, not the swine flu. ;) Hoping your family stays healthy. So far so good here, but it is quickly spreading here.
You have no idea how much I love candy corn. I mean, I could live off candy corn for a good long while. Seriously. And fall is definitely my favorite season. So I'm really clicking with you on this!
When we returned from our trip, the kids had pulled out all the Halloween stuff. When we drove up the drive way there was the fall wreath on the door. I am so ready for some cooler weather.
Oh Candy Corn.
Nom Nom Nom
Oh girl I am right there with you about Fall. We are having those wonderful temperatures already too.
Yup, you hit all of the high notes with this post. Food, leaves turning colors, candy...enjoyed your eye toward fall.
Wash those hands too. Toss the pretty hand towels in the bathroom til spring and put a roll of paper towels in there. I swear that has helped us drop colds that the girls bring home from school...hand sanitizer not so great, but use that, THEN wash the hands and dry thoroughly on the paper towels, then toss them.
CANDY CORN? I heart.
Lovely reminders of fall, except for the swine flu. not so lovely.
I like all those things about fall, too - especially THE FOOD!!!
This morning as my and son and I were waiting in the preschool drop-off line, I had the sunroof open (because it's like totally gorgeous in TN, and I know you know what I'm talking about!) and I pointed to the perfectly blue, cloudless sky and said, "Look at that. That's one of my favorite things about autumn."

Wow, all those colours are awesome, but I have to say that I am still a summer person myself! :)
Just wanted to let you know Lows has their mums(small ones) buy one get one free. I snatched up a flat of them. Hope it is not to hot to get them planted this weekend.
Did I just see candy corn!!!!
My blog has just been growing like a crazy weed and I haven't been able to get by for as many visits. I miss all my blog friends.
Come for a visit and see both of my new parties for the week. They are up every week and I hope you will participate.
