Bring the BACON!

Around Memphis, when there is even the slightest mention of snow, it's like people absolutely lose their minds. Well, it just so happens that our "Winter Storm Watch" has now become "Winter Storm Warning." Here's hoping we get more than the usual dusting.

Can I tell you how ecstatically happy I am that I went to the grocery store Friday? Sound Man is wise beyond his years and suggested that, because they were using the "s" word in the forecast, it would be advisable to go before the crazies get out.

This video, done by Olan Rogers, who lives around here and knows, hilariously explains what happens. You have to watch to the end, though, to understand the title to this post. Enjoy.

I bought extra bacon at the store on Wednesday, before I even KNEW it was supposed to snow!

Hi, this is a reader from Denver checking in. Oh my! Such a panic over 1-2 inches of snow.

I went to the store Friday but all I bought was some fruit! I felt I had enough stuff stocked in case of emergency. We got 6 inches of snow last night! Atlanta is shut down until Wednesday.

I am originally from the north, so don't really understand the panic here in Tennessee when the threat of snow comes. I kind of think it is funny. This is the first year in a long time that we actually have had snow days because of real snow, not the possibility of snow. I think I'll send my husband out IN THE SNOW to get some bacon! :)
