Jesus is the Gift - and a Giveaway!

Are you sick of me talking about Relevant yet? Well, I'm glad I'm not the only one who is still posting about it. There was just so much. I haven't even really gotten into what I learned. Or the people that touched me the most.

I have, however, talked about how much stuff we racked up. The "Ever Grateful" Pitcher. The "Studio Dayspring" cards. My Vintage Pearl necklace. Plus so much more stuff that I haven't even begun to tell you about.

Here's one of those things I haven't told you about. Dayspring has a line of Christmas products called "Jesus is the Gift"...and it is beautiful. Everything I saw on the display table, as well as what was around "The (in)courage Lounge" was just lovely. Things I really wanted in my home. When the opportunity to receive and review a "Jesus is the Gift"13.5" Serving Platter came, I JUMPED at the chance.
I love it. It's HUGE. And even though it's a serving platter, I doubt I will ever use it for that. It's just too pretty. And right now, Dayspring's "Jesus is the Gift" line is on sale! So you can get this gorgeous platter for $8.49! What a great way to express your faith...it has the first part of John 3:16 around the edge of the platter. Very pretty, and not over the top. That's the way the whole line of "Jesus is the Gift" products strikes me.

And as my Christmas gift to you, you have the opportunity to WIN a $20 credit toward Dayspring products. Just leave me a comment. That's it. You don't have to tweet, facebook, post, jump through hoops, sell me your first born, or anything else. But, I'd like you to answer this question: What is the best gift you've ever given or received? Besides receiving the gift of salvation. That's a given. : )

I can't wait to hear what your best gifts are.

Giveaway ends Tuesday, December 21st, at 11:59 PM, Central time. You won't have time to purchase any Christmas items for this year, but what a way to rack up for next year!

Edited to add: I just found out that the $20 does not cover shipping, so keep that in mind!

Disclosure: Dayspring compensated me for this review by giving me a "Jesus is the Gift" Platter. My review was my own opinion.

Wow, what a generous giveaway, Heather! I've had a lot of years of gift giving and I know there are a few that could stand out. One was a gift I got for my daughter. I found her favorite author at the time online and sent a few emails back and forth with her assistant. I told them my daughter wanted to be a writer, too, and that she read all the author's books. She was about 16 at the time and we were having some trying times. I asked for an autographed picture of the author and they went a step further and the author wrote a personal note, with her name and to "follow your dreams" type of note on one of her pictures. I just got a frame for it and wrapped it up for Christmas for my daughter.

That morning I think we both teared up when she opened it. She knew that no matter what we went through together that I loved her and believed in her to get this for her. She couldn't stop looking at it and reading the message.

Oh, boy. . . a lovely giveaway! Thank you so much for the opportunity to enter.

The best gift I ever received? I don't know--that would be a hard one. One of the most memorable, though, was for my 25th wedding anniversary (this past June). jack had to be in Chicago for the day for a business meeting, so I flew up to join him--just for the day! We had a wonderful time together, and he took me to a jewelry store in Chicago and bought me an anniversary band. It was such fun to be in that jewelry store together, laughing and holding hands and looking at rings, exactly 25 years after we got married. We've been through a lot in 25 years, so it was really exciting to celebrate that day!

Best gift ever?? Really? Early one morning as we were waking up to start our day, Scott told me that he wasn't going to work. I asked him why, he said that we were going to spend the day together. He had arranged for his parents to watch our kids and we went to Chattanooga for the weekend. It was the sweetest most spontaneous thing he has ever done and without a doubt my favorite gift ever. Love that man.

My best gift had to be the first Christmas my husband and I were married. There are actually two parts to the story. We had no money and thought we could not afford a Christmas tree. One of the last few days before Christmas we were near a greenhouse and found a cedar tree for $6.00. He bought it for us. The branches were soft and wouldn't hold much, but the smell was wonderful!
The other part was that the weather was really bad that Christmas and I thought my parents and sister couldn't make it down the mountain to see us as we lived out of town. The weather cleared just enough and my husband drove up to get them and surprised me with seeing my family for Christmas. The made for a really special Christmas. I've had several other wonderful Christmas' now especially with our children, but that one sticks out in mind as a favorite.

What a fun giveaway. To answer your question is a bit tough. I've had some incredible gifts over the year. I'd have to say, though, that my grandmother giving me "my" china for my wedding was probably the best ever. It brought tears to my eyes. It was a set I had "claimed" when I cleaned her house the summer I was 10. No one had touched it for years. After that, whenever we used it for dinner, I set the table, cleared the table, washed the dishes, dried them and put them all away. It was that special to me. She always said I could have it when she died but when she gave it to me as a wedding gift she said she couldn't wait - she was so happy for me... That set is still my most favorite possession.

Will I get brownie points in this giveaway if I say the best gift I ever received was your friendship? ;)

I fell in love with these products a few weeks ago watching a Christian program on CTS (Canada) and would love to include one of their items in my holiday decor. The best gift I've ever recieved or given...hmm that's a tough one. But I'd have to say when I was a little girl (had to have been about 5 or 6 yrs) I got my first bike. It sticks out because growing up we never had much and now that I'm grown up now with two little ones of my own I can look back and understand the sacrifice it must have been for my parents - there were four of us & we each got one. Now come to think of it, the best gift wasn't the bike, it was being blessed with wonderful parents who have never stopped "giving".
