So...yesterday...did you go to church?
Did you stand with the congregation and sing songs?
Did you hear a great message?
Here's what I know (and what I'm going to talk more about this week, Lord willing)...singing songs, even if you're in church, is NOT worship.Listening to a message, no matter how fiery or inspired it may have been, is NOT worship.
Going to church does not equal worship.
Let me put it this way; just like being in a garage does not make you a car, being in church does not make you a true worshiper.
You can sing songs, lift your hands, cry with emotion, but if your heart is not "kissing toward God," it's all for show.
So...how's your heart?

First - LOVE the new header - very fall like :)
Second - Totally agree with you! Worship starts in your heart, and if you aren't right with Him, then you are simply going through the motions.
Ooohh! You have made your blog so pretty and fall-y!
I don't think I've mentioned this - but I think you are very brave to take on the 31 Days of Change!
Go, Sister!
beautiful- and so true! I often hold back just a little with the hand raising (I do raise them, just "quietly") because, for me - I am busy lifting my HEART and want it to be about me worshipping Him - not about calling attention to myself. (not implying that that is what others are doing- some may be- but I know some who just worship seemingly more "fervently" than I :) - but I am on the inside
